Topic of Podcast: Homeless Crimes in California
PODCAST Project Part 2: The First Transcriipt Think of the items below as a checklist for making sure your transcriipt is complete: 1. Podcast has a title. 2. Each member will introduce themselves. 3. Give the listener a (very) brief overview of what you will be discussing and the structure of your podcast. 4. Introduce the topic and why it fits within the class’s broad topic.
5. Podcast should be factual, literally explaining the who, what, when, where, why and how of the case or event. 6. Closing remarks, or conclusion. (I call this the, “Why does this case matter?” section) Helpful hints for the transcriipt: 1. Remember, you will actually be speaking/saying your citations. So, your transcriipt should include citations. Examples: “According to police records posted on the Sacramento Bee website, ….” “According to the documentary I, Sniper…” “According to the podcast Man in the Window, …..” 2. Be sure to explain any terms to the audience that they may not know.
Link to article that explains homelessness – we used this video for Part 1 and hopefully can be used for Part 2 as well.
