I like where you are going here, but I think you need to incorporate some of the foundational ethics into your work. It does not good to just say that their are ethical dilemmas, and leave it to the reader to figure it out. Weave the Foundations into your work, so that the reader understands where a utilitarian approach might work, or why a common good approach may be of the best benefit to the locals, and act as a buffer against some of the extremism here. Clearly, the locals are upset, and rightfully so. If you were King for the day, how would you have incorporated some of the ethical foundations in your negotiations with the multinationals, for example, what about the pollution that you describe, and of course might be some checks and balances, perhaps even to incorporate immediate payments to NGO’s that operate in the region, aside from profits paid directly to the government. ( I do get that the Government gets a vote). Please incorporate a bit more of what we learned in our Ethics this 8 weeks to give a proper foundation to any discussion on ethics. Also, clean up the Passive voice, use some level 1 headings to show the transitions from your main talking points.
