Final project is a major portion of the course. Its main purpose is to give you hands-on experience applying some of the design concepts you will learnin class. You will complete several assignments which will lead into your final project. Thisfirst assignmentis the start of the semester’s project. There will be multiple project assignments. The purpose is building a small productthat is interesting enough to last the rest of the semester but is not so complicated that you’ll have to work 24 hours a day on it. The first step towards the final project is to identify a system that you would like to develop and identify the users and their needs that this system will meet. Find something that excites you.But as the first step, remember that users are always central to any interface design, therefore it is imperative to identify the users’ characteristics early in the design process.
For Project Assignment 1. Complete the following: 1.Identify an app(iphone/android)or websitethat you always wanted to develop but you did not have the time to develop. 2.Determine the task(s) that the systemwill do. Normally, this should be the automation of a task that users now do manually. Devise specific, concrete examples.3.Determine the system’s users. Identify specific people, even for an interface to beused by the general public.4.Include 3 personas (personas are fictional). –Use one of the tools discussed in the lecture.
