1) Review Public Opinion Links (which i will attach as a file), as well as https://ropercenter.cornell.edu/ and choose five representative survey organizations with the surveys that interest you. For each, write 1/2 page where you analyze the distinctive features (i.e., the type of research they conduct, the projects in which they are involved, and the data resources they offer). At each, offer examples of research questions of your own that could be answered using their data.
2) Identify a public sector survey. You can use the links from part 1 or locate a survey on your own. Write a 2 page critique of the survey, specifically addressing the length of the survey and quality of the questions. Please submit a copy of the survey with the assignment (or insert the web link in the document you turn in). Hint: this is a critique of the survey itself and not of the survey findings i.e., not of the survey results, data, or statistics collected. Don’t waste time talking about the findings i.e. what the survey tells us – that’s not the point of this assignment. You need to critique the survey instrument itself, the survey design, sampling technique, etc. and not discuss or critique the survey results i.e., what the data is showing.
