Fully research exemplar(s) and relate exemplar(s) to the concept(s). Sources of information, i.e. new research studies should be mentioned in the paper.
Review care of the client with the exemplar(s) using the nursing process; assessment (include abnormal/expected labs & diagnostic tests, abnormal/expected physical assessment), diagnose (priority nursing diagnosis), interventions (include medications, treatments, etc.), evaluation (what is the goal of treatment?)
Identify specific teaching needs, considering patient and family-centered care. Teaching needs must be specific to the exemplars. Teaching may include identifying community resources available for the patient.
Identify collaboration needed with other disciplines (minimum of 2) that is specific for the exemplar. What can the other members of the health-care team provide that nursing cannot?
