In answering this question, you should: (i) clearly and concisely state in your own words the reasons why this issue resists easy explanation; (ii) clearly and concisely state your own conclusion as to the relationship of mind and the material world; (iii)set out clearly the reasoning that takes you to this conclusion, including the premises of your reasoning; and (iv) discuss likely objections to your premises or reasoning, and outline your reasons for not taking them to be decisive against your view.
