The Coca-Cola Company manufactures syrups, concentrates and beverages that are non- alcoholic and also its a beverage retailer. The main product of the company is Coca-Cola. The company is in over 200 countries, has more than 500 brands, and serves over 1.6bn each day. Coca-Cola headquarters is in Atlanta, Georgia (Bodden, 2009). The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) lists the stocks of the company.
The Coca-Cola company ownership is a Publicly Listed Company, meaning there is no sole owner (Bodden, 2009). However, the company is “owned” by numerous investors and shareholders across the globe. Warren Buffet, an American businessman, owns the company’s largest share and has previously served as its board of directors for 17 years, making it clear that he will never sell his shares.
Public ownership has helped the company (Bodden, 2009); Have better access to capital-raising opportunities and increasing the investor base- this is through raising the capital of the shares from new and existing investors, Liquidity- the stakeholders have the power to sell and buy their shares if the stock exchange quotes them, The company can simply make investments by proposing the shares to the stakeholders of a beneficial firm, The company receives a more reputable profile, The value for the securities can be established, and Transferability of shares-The shareholders can easily transfer their shares and provide them with a good exit strategy.
The company’s public ownership helps protect the company’s personal assets, reduces the taxation imposed on the company as there are numerous investors, and attracts numerous investors due to the reported company profits. A different type of ownership would not benefit the company as its public ownership has allowed it to expand and grow its shares.

IKEA is a privets owned companies. IKEA does not have people own different shares. IKEA is a European furniture company. It was founded by Ingvar Kamprad. IKEA runs it stories all around the world. But it main base is in Delft, Netherlands. IKEA have 23 offices in 10 countries. IKEA pay 360 stores around the world and it pays lot taxes to different countries worldwide.

Amazon is one of today’s largest business corporation in America, it is well known for selling many different books, music movies, housewares, electronics, toys, and many other goods. Amazon has a cooperate type of ownership meaning that it is owned by shareholders It is also a multinational organization. This type of ownership helps the company because Amazon is one of the most leading company in revenue, this helps the corporation with taxation, and attract many investors. According to Forbes list, “Its fourth-quarter revenue surged 38% to $60.5 billion, which beat analysts’ expectations of $59.83 billion. Amazon’s profit more than doubled to $1.9 billion — a figure that included a $789 million tax benefit”(Cohan 3 reasons Amazon is the world’s best business). Due too how fast their revenue is increasing these numbers will only increase also. Like most big cooperate companies amazon faces certain risk at safeguarding its assets such as cyber-attacks, loss of information, and other security issues. However amazon has securities measures in place to secure those assets such as a program called AWS which according too amazon “services that help you protect your data, accounts, and workloads from unauthorized access. AWS data protection services provide encryption and key management and threat detection that continuously monitors and protects your accounts and workloads” (Perlitz and Elliott The products). Another reason why amazon being a corporate company is a good decision because it attracts allot of investors . Amazon focuses on growth more then profit. For this reason they may lose allot of money but as they grow and make a profitable quarter they will always attract investors the more.i don’t think a different type of company would fit a different owner ship title because they way their operate seems to be working , thier focus isn’t about making profit its about growth and how long the company will be in operate for. Amazon is a company that wants to be around forever because its a on line based company and with the expand of technology growth is important for them then they can worry about making profits later and for that reason investors will continue to invest because as they do they believe that the company will only grow and so will there money.

One of my favorite, globally known, companies that i decided to choose for this assignment is NIKE inc. NKE has a corporate ownership , meaning with this type of ownership there can be any amount of owners. One of the main and many advantages of this kind of ownership is that owners personal assets are protected from creditors of the corporation. According to “corporation basics” on “Nolo.com” it states “because only corporate assets need to be used to pay business debts”. “Choose a business structure” states that corporations do make profit and can also be taxed and held liable, it also mentions corporations offer the strongest liability protection for their owners which is important because its just more than one investor so many peoples money are at stake. As long as the corporations team is able to produce then corporations will always have investors but if their team can’t deliver then theres no income or return of investment. NIKE being one of the world’s most globally known company they’re management team produces so well they will also have investors because so many new ideas are always produced so in my opinion i wouldn’t change the kind of ownership.
