Close Reading Paper Short Fiction Story: The Things They Carried by Tim O′Brien In the paper will focus on a specific thesis with respect to some aspect of the assigned text. The paper do not include any secondary sources (though all of the requirements of MLA format apply if a source is used), but must contain the student’s thoughtful, detailed analysis of one specific thesis claim made with respect to the work of literature. The paper should be specific and detailed rather than broad and general, and should make serious use of the text of the work.
