In his work, Ethics: A Contemporary Introduction, Harry Gensler offers some critiques of cultural relativism and moral subjectivism. After reading the introduction and first two chapters of this book, write an essay consisting of two main parts. The first part (between 500 and 750 words) should be devoted to answering this question: What are the main problems with cultural relativism and subjectivism? The second part of the essay (between 750 to 1000 words) should be devoted to either defending or arguing against Genslers understanding of relativism and subjectivism. In the course of your argument, you must also compare Genslers view with at least one other view of the nature of ethics. In order to be considered acceptable, your essay must incorporate at least two (ideally three to four) other academic sources in addition to the Ethics: A Contemporary Introduction.
