Instructions: For this assignment, you will choose one of the nine guide points listed by Crews (2013) as relevant to dissertations. The nine guide points found on p. 17 of the article are Context, Embedded Media, Quantity, Size and Resolution, Licensed Materials, Permissions, Realistic Markets, Orphan Works, and lastly, Citing Sources. Not all the guide points will relate to your dissertation; each one has a unique focus. Having a broader awareness will help to ensure the credibility of your thesis. You will choose one of the guide points to research for this discussion post.

Read the Crews article, review the websites and tools to know how to apply the four factors of fair use.
Understand how the Four Factors of Fair Use are used. Tools and information can be found on the EdD Research Guide – Click the Fair Use and Fair Use Tools for information.
Research: Using library databases (Library Literature Full Text for example) or Google Scholar research, the guide point chosen.
Find at least two scholarly sources (journals must be peer-reviewed) that increase your knowledge of copyright in an academic setting. Readings for this assignment are not included in this number; however, you can use them if desired.
Organize information responding to the following statements concerning the guide point chosen. Use APA formatted section headings to organize your research.
