States are considered laboratories when it comes to Medicaid. States have a broad variation for how Medicaid operates.
Using the following resources, select two states and create a table comparing the following: Medicaid eligibility, CHIP eligibility, number of enrollees, the average annual growth in Medicaid, the Federal and State share of Medicaid funding, state spending, total state Medicaid spending and one comparative measure of your choosing.
Analyze and discuss in no more than two paragraphs and based on your knowledge of each state: its demographics, political leanings, composition of its state government, etc. what picture the data create for each state and how they compare to each other. Explain why you selected the comparative measure you chose and why it matters.
