1. Explore and experience what mindfulness is through a mindful experience. 2. Identify the concepts of Inner and Outer Wisdom Prompt: The goal of the activity is to mindfully experience food through taste, texture, smell, and basic awareness of food. Please note that if you are unable to eat raisins due to food preferences, special diets or food allergies, etc., you may choose an alternative food to use in completing this assignment. There are similar substitutions that are perfectly acceptable (Craisins, nuts, prune, chips, unusual crackers, and or similar foods that you may tolerate). For those that choose other foods, the goal is still met, and the experience is equivalent. Please let your instructor know what food you chose to use. The raisin eating exercise is an introduction to Mindful Eating. This is an opportunity to interact with food and eating in a way that will help to train “inner wisdom”.
