1. Create a timeline tracing the history of special education legislation, case law, and policies to the present day. 2. What were the pertinent aspects of each law, policy ,and/or legislation? How did it move special education forward? 3. Compare and contrast IDEA and Section 504 (e.g., eligibility, documentation, parental consent, and parental involvement). How would you explain to a parent who wanted to know exactly what the differences were between the two types of legislation? Is one better than the other? How do the services differ etc?
