As an alternative, the topic should relate to your interests in some other significant way. For example, if you are a business major, you might choose an important historical event in the business world. Or, you might choose a work of literature or art that focuses on an important economic issue or event in history. The work or event must be at least 20 years old since time tends to put events in perspective. The project will contain three parts: a research proposal, an annotated bibliography, and a research paper. All three parts of the project must use scholarly, peer-reviewed research.
