The initial posting must meet the following expectations: • Addresses the collaboration café question in a thorough, substantive manner. • Demonstrates application of course concepts. • Discusses implications for advanced nursing practice. • Includes correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, sentence, and paragraph structure. • If sources are included, APA format for citation and referencing is correctly applied. We will start this week with a Collaboration Café focused on the value of an MSN-prepared nurse. We will address the following course outcomes: CO#1 Examine the roles and competencies of master’s prepared nurses essential to performing as leaders and advocates of holistic, safe, and quality care. (PO 1-5) CO#3 Analyze essential skills needed to lead within the context of complex systems. (PO 3,4) As you begin the journey into graduate education, it is important to understand the value of the Masters Prepared Nurse. Take a moment and reflect on your decision to return to graduate school. What were the motivating factors: a better job, requirement for promotion, a desire for professional development, or the opportunity to influence positive change and shape the future of nursing practice? Take a moment to reflect on your “why”. When we understand our “why” it can help to motivate us during challenging times during this educational journey.
