According to Daoist teachings, the world should work to where the government refrains from interfering with people’s lives, and that people, in general, should avoid interfering with nature and others. The essential idea of Daoism is that since humans live such a small and insignificant life, that humans should fall accordingly to the flow of nature or the Dao way of life. Daoism focuses on the principles in the navigation of life; simplicity, patience, compassion, going with the flow, letting go, and harmony, all as a way to better the lives and the world in the usage of these principles. These also helped to create martial arts, such as Tai Chi and Qigong, and healthy living styles such as vegetarianism and various forms of exercise. Manyexamples of this are meditation and breathing exercises to help with spiritual connection, as well as connect with one’s self and surroundings.Another major idea of Daoism is the expression of living in harmony, more or less, being one with the guiding force of reality. This is defined in a rhythm of flux and transformation in theuniverse, and all returns from some input to another output, overall having a continuously constant cycle of life and energy among all living things. One of the teachings of Daoism is that the soul’s energy is connected with vital energy, which is what gives life and sustains the soul, among other things such as ridding of impurities and increasing energy, it relates to the overall teaching of betterment and connection in spirit and body. A typical person who follows the Daoism lifestyle is thought to detach themselves from worldly describes and to remain at rest in a constant state of ease in the state of the world.
