Cyberspace AestheticsPURPOSE: Students will use the internet to discover different aesthetic experiences. ASSIGNMENT: Students will write a brief paper on the two artist spotlighted in this module: Kcho and Ramona Sakiestewa. This paper should answer the follow questions in paragraph form about each artist:•What did you learn about the artist’s background?•How would you describe each artist’s work?•What subject and/or themes do you see in most of the artist’s work?•What messages do you think the artist is communicating about his/her culture?•How does the art artist use different materials to express themselves?•What colors, lines, shapes, and textures can be seen in the artist’s work? •Would the art be different if you saw it in person?Your paper should also include ways you as a teacher could use information about artists to increase the children’s exposure to cultural diversity and different aesthetic experiences.
