Read the following excerpt in the Risman book: Beyond Family Structure: Family Process Studies Help to Reframe Debates About What′s Good for Children pp. 252-271 and then complete the following: Cowan and Cowan find public policy debates problematic when the people involved in them think that they can only be right if they prove the other side wrong. 1. Choose a public policy debate regarding marriage and family that is going on right now and find two blog entries or newspaper articles that represent two different sides of the debate. Be sure to add all pertinent information such as author, title, publication, date of publication and pages numbers at the beginning of your discussion. Summarize each of the resources. 2.
