Hundreds will be lost within the next generation. By the end of this century, half of the world’s languages will have vanished. In this video Wade Davis states, “A language is not just a body of vocabulary or a set of grammatical rules. A language is a flash of a human spirit. It is a vehicle through which the soul of each particular culture comes into the material world.
